Insurance Times releases eTrading survey results

Insurance Times’ Five Star Rating Report: eTrading 2026 reveals that three insurer extranets and three insurers eTrading via software houses have received a five-star accolade from broker partners. The annual report, now in its 12th edition, explores brokers’ opinions, attitudes, and satisfaction levels regarding the eTrading services they receive from insurer partners and software house providers.
The report is based on a survey of more than 750 brokers, conducted between January and March 2026. Respondents rated the insurer extranets and software houses they have regularly placed business with during the past 12 months, as well as ranked insurer partners eTrading via platforms.
Brokers eTrading via insurer extranets have given Aviva Fast Trade, Zurich Online, and Allianz QuoteSME an overall five-star rating. Five insurer extranets achieved an overall four-star rating, two insurer extranets achieved a three-star rating, and one extranet achieved an overall two-star rating.
The survey also found that Acturis, Bravo Digital Trader, and Open GI are among the top software houses. Acturis secured first place among these platforms for the 10th consecutive year, making it a leader in the transformation of eTrading services.
The Five Star Rating Report: eTrading 2026 investigated broker journeys when trading with an insurer via a software house platform. This analysis found that Zurich, Aviva, and Intact were the standout performers, with all three insurers being awarded five stars by surveyed brokers.

Five insurers were awarded an overall four-star rating, whilst two insurers achieved an overall three-star rating. The report’s findings provide valuable insights into the eTrading services provided by insurer partners and software house providers, highlighting areas for improvement.
