Paul Waters leads Hymans Robertson charity arm
Paul Waters has been appointed Chair of the Hymans Robertson Foundation, taking over the role from Gill Tait, who is retiring after being involved since the Foundation’s inception. The Foundation was established in 2016 by Hymans Robertson, a leading pensions and financial services consultancy, to support young people and communities across the UK through long-term partnerships with a trusted network of charities.
As the new Chair, Paul Waters, who is also Head of DC Markets at Hymans Robertson, will oversee the Foundation’s work, which includes receiving a proportion of the firm’s annual profits to deliver lasting impact for disadvantaged young people and communities across the UK.
The Foundation’s aim is to support young people and communities through partnerships with charities, and it has already shown the effectiveness of targeted, local support through bursaries supporting communities around its four offices.
They have invested over a million pounds in grant funding since the Foundation’s establishment, working with charities such as The King’s Trust, Street Soccer, Money Ready, Barnardo’s, and Action for Children, alongside many local charities.
Paul Waters commented on his new role, saying, “I’m honoured to be taking on the role of Chair at a time when the Foundation’s work feels more important than ever.

Gill Tait, the outgoing Chair, has made an outstanding contribution to the Foundation over the past ten years, including her four years as Chair.
Paul Waters aims to build on this strong platform, strengthening connections with clients and creating opportunities to work together to deliver even greater impact.
