Aon has appointed Sean Deehan to expand access to its integrated advisory, analytics and technology-led solutions in Asia-Pacific, enabling clients to make better risk and capital decisions and pursue profitable growth. Deehan’s mandate includes driving the adoption of Aon’s Life Risk Modeling Suite in the region, with a focus on PathWise, the firm’s platform for life and annuity risk modeling that helps actuarial teams run complex projections more efficiently. Based in Hong Kong, Deehan will report to Sherif Zakhary, global CEO of Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group and Inpoint.

Zakhary described Asia-Pacific as a “significant growth opportunity” for Aon, noting that Deehan will play a key role in expanding the firm’s capabilities and delivering greater value for clients across the region. “Sean’s regional experience, market knowledge and commercial leadership will help increase our momentum and support continued growth in Asia Pacific,” Zakhary said.

Deehan’s regional focus

Deehan brings more than 25 years of experience across insurance, consulting, strategy and risk management, with extensive expertise in Greater China and broader Asia-Pacific. He has led businesses and growth initiatives across some of the region’s most dynamic insurance markets, with experience spanning strategy, actuarial leadership, M&A, market entry strategy, product innovation, risk management and client advisory.

From Willis Towers Watson to Aon

Prior to joining Aon, Deehan served as Greater China divisional leader and head of Hong Kong and Macau at Willis Towers Watson. He previously held several senior executive and board-level roles, including CEO and executive director of Standard Life (Asia).

The appointment reflects Aon’s focus on strengthening its presence in high-growth regions. The firm’s Strategy and Technology Group merges strategic consulting with technology-driven solutions, supporting insurers as they handle regulatory shifts and digital transformation. PathWise, as part of the Life Risk Modeling Suite, is designed to enhance the efficiency of actuarial projections, helping clients make informed decisions about risk and capital management.

Deehan’s appointment takes effect immediately, signaling Aon’s commitment to expanding its capabilities in Asia-Pacific.
